If you are wanting to stay in Evans Head for a great holiday, call into the Silver Sands Holiday Park, situated in the middle of town on the river you are within easy walking distance of everything.
Make sure you visit the Woodburn Evans Head RSL Club, there are huge raffles on Wednesday and Friday nights. Enjoy a great meal overlooking the beautiful Evans River, the Bistro is open 7 days a week, Tuesday night is steak night - $9.95 with either salad or chips.
If your fancy is good pub food make sure you visit the Illawong Hotel which is right in the middle of town just across the road from the Holiday Park.
Great Take-away food is available from Yates Pizza on the roundabout near the RSL Club, the qaulity is second to none.
If your ever up in Ballina for the day make sure you call into the Cherry Street Bowls Club. Ask for Tony Scott who is the bowls Coach if you are after a few lessons, bowls is played most days per week. The restaurant is a must visit which is open Tuesdays to Sundays, at noon there is an all-you-eat-smorgasbord and only costs $11.50 pp. A Deluxe Seafood Smorgasbord is on each Friday and Saturday night from 6pm and costs just $20.40 pp.
